The design pays homage to Alexandra David-Néel (1868-1969), a French/Belgian explorer, feminist, Buddhist, writer and simply, La Femme Extraordinaire. By the time Alexandra was eighteen she had visited three countries on her own, and in her lifetime wrote some thirty books about philosophy, religion, and her travels.
